What To Expect From Wilson Towing
Frequently Asked Questions
California law requires a signed agreement and proper authorization to remove vehicles from private property. We’ll walk you through our process when you contact us to set up a parking enforcement arrangement. Once a program is in place, our team works efficiently and legally to keep your parking areas clear for residents, customers, and authorized users.
Yes. We can provide and help arrange proper tow-away signage for areas you want to restrict. Correct signage is important — it protects you legally and ensures unauthorized parkers are on clear notice. Reach out to us to learn more about our parking enforcement setup process.
Yes! Wilson Towing offers comprehensive parking enforcement services for property managers, apartment complexes, retail establishments, and commercial properties. Our services include parking permit programs, tow-away zone signage, lot striping, painted surface guidance, and ingress/egress enforcement. We understand that this can be a frustrating situation. Under California law, private property tows require proper signage at the location. If you believe your vehicle was towed improperly or that you were overcharged, we recommend paying the fees to retrieve your vehicle first (to stop additional storage charges), and then contacting your local or state consumer protection agency or the relevant police agency to explore your options. Please do not hesitate to speak respectfully with our management during business hours if you have questions — we are committed to resolving concerns fairly.
We strongly encourage you to retrieve your vehicle as soon as possible. Storage fees accrue daily, and the longer your vehicle remains in our lot, the higher the total bill will be. Call us at 909-888-5455 or visit our online portal to find out the current charges and schedule your pickup promptly.
You can schedule a pickup online at calendly.com/wilsontowing5455, or you can call us directly at 909-888-5455 during business hours. If you need someone else to pick up your vehicle on your behalf, you can also submit an authorization form on our website.
Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are closed on weekends and all state holidays. Vehicles retrieved outside of these hours will be assessed a Gate Fee. We strongly recommend calling ahead at 909-888-5455 to confirm your total charges and what you need to bring before making the trip.
Under California Vehicle Code §22651.1, vehicles are only released to the registered owner or their authorized agent. You will need to bring: Vehicle Documentation: Current vehicle registration, a rental agreement (for rental cars), or another legal document identifying you as the vehicle owner or responsible party. Claimant ID: A current government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID) that matches the name on the vehicle document. If you are picking up the vehicle on behalf of the owner, you must also bring a signed letter from the registered owner granting you permission to claim the vehicle, along with the owner’s government-issued photo ID.
If Wilson Towing impounded your vehicle, you can look up your vehicle’s location and charges online by visiting our vehicle lookup portal at wilson.omadi.com — you’ll need your license plate number or VIN. You can also call our office at 909-888-5455 during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM). If your vehicle was impounded at the direction of a police agency, you may need to contact the relevant police department first to arrange a release authorization.
Many auto insurance policies, motor club memberships (such as AAA), and vehicle manufacturer programs include roadside assistance coverage that can cover or reimburse towing costs. When you call us directly we can provide service without the need to wait for your insurance company to find a towing company on their list. Submit the receipt we provide to your insurance company for reimbursement.
We accept cash and credit cards. If you have questions about any other type of payment method, please call us at 909-888-5455 to confirm current accepted payment methods, as policies can vary by service type. We recommend asking about payment options when you call for service so you can be prepared when our driver arrives.
After-hours towing and roadside assistance calls may carry different rates than standard business-hours calls. Additionally, if you are picking up a vehicle from our impound lot after hours, on weekends, or on state holidays, a Gate Fee will be assessed. We recommend calling us ahead of time to confirm total charges before arriving to pick up your vehicle.

Yes! A jump start is one of our most common roadside assistance calls. If your battery has simply discharged (lights left on, inactivity, etc.) and the battery itself is otherwise functional, a jump start can get you back on the road without a tow. If the jump start is unsuccessful or the battery is at the end of its life, we can then tow your vehicle to the shop of your choice.
Wilson Towing offers a full range of roadside assistance services, including:
• Flat tire changes — we’ll swap your flat for your spare
• Jump starts — for dead or discharged batteries
• Car lockout service — if you’ve locked your keys inside
• Winch-out / recovery — if you’ve slid off the road or become stuck

In most cases, yes — you have the right to direct your vehicle to the repair facility of your choice. Yes, we can tow your vehicle beyond the immediate San Bernardino area. Distance will affect the total cost of the tow. Please call us at 909-888-5455 to discuss your specific situation and get a quote for long-distance transport.
Yes. The safest method for all-wheel drive and four-wheel drive vehicles is flatbed towing, which lifts all four wheels completely off the ground. This prevents any rotation of the drivetrain or transfer case, which could otherwise cause expensive damage. We have flatbed tow trucks available and our operators are trained to select the right equipment for your vehicle.
Flatbed towing loads your entire vehicle onto a flat platform so all four wheels are off the ground. This is the safest method for low-clearance vehicles, all-wheel drive (AWD) and four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicles, luxury or exotic cars, motorcycles, and severely damaged vehicles. It eliminates any risk of transmission or drivetrain damage during transport.
Wheel-lift (wrecker) towing uses a metal yoke to lift the front or rear wheels while the other two wheels remain on the ground. This method works well for standard vehicles and is often faster to deploy. Our operators will use the method that is safest for your specific vehicle.
We can tow virtually any type of vehicle, including:
• Standard passenger cars and light trucks
• Motorcycles
• Heavy-duty trucks, box trucks, and tractor-trailers
• Equipment needing flatbed transport to job sites
We added heavy-duty towing capability in 2021 with two heavy-duty tow trucks, so no job is too large for our fleet.
